[149] SUSANNA (DIETRICH) SCHOLTZE[E 149], b Mar. 13, 1690; d Feb. 23, 1765; came to Pa. in 1734 with her children. She was the widow of BALTHASAR SCHOLTZE, of Nieder Harpersdorf, and was the daughter of Balthasar and Barbara Dietrich. Susanna and Balthasar were married Jan. 15, 1709 [N’. Hdrf. Ch. Bk.]. She had a sister Barbara who d 1759; a sister Eva who d 1762; a brother Balthasar of the “‘Feldhiuser,” who d Feb. 14, 1775 (in 1767, Hans Christopher Heebner’s wife sent him greetings). :

Balthasar Scholtze and family fled from Silesia to Saxony, Apr. 27, 1726. Balthasar din Herrnhut Nov. 28, 1726, aged 47 years, 4 weeks; was buried Dec. 2, “‘mit einer collect.”’ [E. FE. S. J.] He was the son of Matthias Scholtze. Susanna Scholtze lived with her son, George [Plate C XV]. Place of burial not determined.
