‘Samuel B. Beyer of Hatfield, and Henrietta Gouldey of Montgomery, married Apr. 16, 1837.” | Norristown Register.]

“Samuel B. Beyer was raised on his father’s farm in Montg. Co., Pa., but desiring to roam he became a drover, following this occupation for more than forty years. This pursuit gave him a wholesome experience with everyday life. He was a great talker, of excellent memory, and unquestioned integrity, kind and obliging, and slow in making a decision, but once having come to a conclusion it was impossible to have him change.’ [Dr. J. M. Beyer.]

In 1880 he returned to Norristown, Pa., where he kept a small grocery store. After the death of his wife he lived with his daughter, Jennie Gougler, near Centre Square, Pa., and the last years of his life were spent with his son, Dr. J. Monroe Beyer, of Bustleton, Pa.
