Balthasar Heebner lived in Worcester Twp., Montg. Co., Pa., and owned the farm lately purchased by Abraham Anders, Sr. He was a minister of the Schwenkfelder Society many years, until his death. This record, so far as it relates to the genealogical record of the members of said religious society, and their descendants who adhered to their organization, was preserved by him in German manuscript to about the year 1846. In the earlier days, to about 1804, a few records had been kept, but about that: time abandoned, when the Rev. Mr. Heebner, copying from those earlier ones, continued his own down to the date mentioned. Without his industry and care it would have been impossible to compile the present work for want of a continuous record. Of a cheerful disposition, and of active and industrious habits, Mr. Heebner always retained the confidence of the entire community in which he lived. [Gen. Rec., 1879, p 78.]
