[88-160] SAMUEL K. YEAKEL, b Mar. 25, 1832; d Dec. 21, 1910; s Jacob and Catherine (Kratz) Yeakel [88-58]; m Oct. 4, 1858, SOPHIA REITZ, b May 30, 1831; d Feb. 27, 1905. Sophia Reitz Yeakel was born in Dulach, Baden, Germany, and died at Beloit, Wis. Samuel K. Yeakel died at Soldiers’ Home at Marshallton, Iowa; buried at Lake City, Iowa. He was a native of Hilltown, Pa. On Aug. 28, 1862, he enlisted in Co. H. 3d Pa. Reserves, and was honorably discharged at Annapolis, May 31, 1865. Children. (6):
