[48] MELCHIOR NEUMAN[E 48], was the s of Balthasar Neuman and Maria Dobschal of Ober Langneundorf. Balthasar d Mar. 10, 1726, aged 83; his w Maria, d Oct. 6, 1727 [cf. Regent by Schneider, p 23b].
Melchior Neuman was a carpenter of Hockenau. [Berthelsdorf Ch. Bk.] He married MARIA ————— [E 182], and migrated to Berthelsdorf, Saxony, Apr. 29, 1726, with his wife and son. He was living with his son Christopher in 1732, in Berthelsdorf.
Melchior Neuman and his wife Maria came to Pa. in 1734, with their son Christopher. Melchior worked as a carpenter for the three Schultz brothers, George [E 68], and Melchior [E 69], Christopher {E 70]. Hed Apr. 28, 1745 and his wife died Dec. 24, 1744.
