According to tradition Allen Fox married a southern lady who owned 300 slaves. Both Allen and his wife used to come north to make purchases for their slaves, and visited his relatives. Both Allen and his wife died of consumption and left no issue.

John Fox lived in Birdsboro, Pa. He is said to have come from the ‘‘Forest’’ above Reading. His wife, Maria, is said to have attained the age of 80 yrs.
