Frank A. Hartranft was an attorney-at-law, and lived in Phila. At one time he collected much valuable data on the history of the Hartranft family with the expectation of publishing it in book form, but death overtook him before this was accomplished. After his death these papers and manuscripts were destroyed, in consequence of which the family connections of many members of the Hartranft family ean not be established.
