William Burd Evans, M.D., received his education in the Germantown Boys’ School, Germantown Academy, Ursinus College, Jefferson Medical, and Maryland Medical Colleges. He immediately began the practice of his profession in Germantown and later in Pine Grove, Pa., where he acquired a large practice and became endeared to his patients on account of his geniality and common sense.
After some time, however, desiring to keep in closer touch with his old associations and the place of his birth, he returned and resumed his practice in Germantown. His untimely death, just in the prime of life, came suddenly and was a great shock to his wide circle of friends.
