MARIA (BEYER) KRAUSS [E 202] and her DESCENDANTS

[202] MARIA (BEYER) KRAUSS [E 202], widow of MELCHIOR KRAUSS of Neu Armenruhe, came to Pa. in 1737 with her children. Melchior Krauss died before the migration, but no facts concerning his life have been discovered. Maria Beyer was the daughter of Melchior Beyer, and she was also the sister of Ursula (Beyer) Hoffman [E 101], and of Abraham Beyer [E 184]. According to the B. H. Records, Maria Beyer was born about 1694 and died Mar. 12, 1768. She is buried in the Washington Schwenkfelder Cemetery.

She lies buried in the Kraussdale Schw. Cem. The dates indicate this was the above Sophia (4), but no other data has been found to establish the connection.

Jeremiah Krauss was also said to have had a son David, but this could not be verified.
