Jacob and Samuel, sons of Henry, probably died before sons of Abraham were so named.
In the will of Henry Rittenhouse, miller of Roxborough, Phila., probated Mar. 8, 1769, he bequeaths to Mary, “‘my beloved wife,” instead of dower “‘my mills, messuages, lands and all my real estate. My eldest two sons, William and Cornelius (under 21). My seven children, William, Cornelius, Susanna, Ann, Samuel, Mary, Jacob.’”’ Executors: ‘Mary, my wife, Nicholas, my brother.” The will was signed June 18, 1768.
