Rev. John B. Kriebel was a farmer and lived near Kulpsville, Pa. His limited education was obtained by attending the school that was held in the building then standing on the present Towamencin Schwenkfelder Church property. This school he attended about two to three days per week for three
or four months in the year. Having been selected as minister of the Society of Schwenkfelders, he served them faithfully for 14 years up to the time of his death.
Rev. Kriebel was a devout man, conscientious in his service to the Church, and in his ministrations to his people. Being very reverent he was puritanically strict in the observance of the Sabbath. He was very generous to the poor and from his small farm ofttimes supplied necessities to the unfortunate, without letting anyone know about it. Not being very strong physically Rev. Kriebel undermined his strength by his conscientious devotion to duty, and died at an early age.
