Rosanna Krauss Hunsberger was said to be connected with family of Rev. Ephraim Hunsberger who moved from Upper Hanover, Pa., to Wadsworth, Ohio, but it was impossible to verify this statement.

Balthasar Krauss is said to have been a man of great strength. Tradition states that he served in the Revolutionary War, and that when the baggage wagons would get stuck in the mud he would put his shoulder under the axle and lift the wagon out of the mud. (Albert Krauss [11-259].)
