[43-1] CHRISTOPHER MESCHTER[E 121], b June 4, 1734; d before Feb. 12, 1791; s Gregorius and Maria Krauss Meisther [43]; m May 6, 1766, by Rev. Christopher Schultz to CHRISTINA YEA- KEL, b 1748; d ————_ 1837; dau Jeremiah and —-——— (Wolf) Yeakel [88-4]. Christopher Meschter was 6 on the St. Andrew and came to Pa. in 1734 with his parents. He acquired his father’s farm in Hereford Twp., Pa. [Plate C IX]; also bought other land which he conveyed to his son Christopher for £1200 prior to 1799. He is buried in Washington Schw. Cem.

His widow, Christina, married Jacob Hunsberger [38-11], on or before April 12, 1794[ Dr. J. L. Masters]. On May 27, 1799, Christina Hunsberger received £49. 2s. 4d., balance of money willed her by her first husband. This will was signed Feb. 8, 1791. In signing her name she made “‘her mark.” George Lohr of Hereford Twp., Pa., was guardian for the Meschter children.

Magdalena, b June 17, 1780; d July 26, 1856; m Daniel Yocom. [43-11] 9. John, b June 22, 1783; d Jan. 16, 1852; m Elizabeth De Haven. [48-12] 10. Isaac, b Jan. 23, 1787; d June 21, 1853; m Mary Clemence.
